Wendy's Dolls

My name is Wendy Dahlke. I am 65 years of age. I have been collecting dolls since I was 5 years old. My first doll was a native Canadian woman doll bought at a trading post in Nippasing, Ontario, Canada. Many dolls were from our travels: Florida, California, Epcot, as well as England, Wales, Scotland, and France. My family and friends brought home some dolls from their travels too: Indonesia, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Norway, and Sweden.

Every doll I received I researched their origins and traditions at the library (before Google). Learning about other cultures makes you realize how we are all humans living on this big blue marble. We are alike in so many ways. These dolls have been on display for my school projects and on Culture Days at my childrenโ€™s schools. Thank you for letting me share my passion with you.

Dolls are grouped by country, and countries are arrange by continent or region, and then from east to west. though some countries like Russia and China are long in breadth, thus their position in the list is somewhat arbitrary. Follow a link to jump to a continent, then scroll through the countries and their dolls.
